Having multiple locations in the valley since 1993, Grandmaster Joseph Edmondson has built a great reputation for teaching military, law enforcement and civilians the art of Krav Maga and Gracie Humaita Jiu-Jitsu. He prides himself on his continued growth and education by traveling the world to train with the best in the field. Meet grandmaster edmondson
Grand Master Joseph Edmondson, aka Coach Joe, considered by many to be one of the best Defensive Tactics/Martial Arts instructors in the world, started his martial arts journey at the early age of 4 in the Korean art of Tae Kwon Do. Over the years he has been featured on ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX, Good Morning America, and ESPN+ while winning several World Championships in Full contact & Point Fighting. He can also add 4 U.S.T.U. National Championship medals to his resume.
Once retiring from competition, GM Edmondson turned his passion for learning to Krav Maga, receiving his 4th degree Black Belt from GM Itay Gil in 2021.
Holding an 8th dan in Tae Kwon Do and a 2nd Dan in Hapkido, GM Edmondson is currently training towards his Black Belt in Gracie Humaita Jiu-Jitsu under Professor Nick Stefan and Quan Phu, where he currently holds the rank of Brown belt.
Other credentials include: Arizona Representative for the Federation of Israeli Martial Arts (FIMA), Western Regional Director of Operations for the Police Tactics Instructors of America (P.T.I.A.) and Agency of Law Enforcement Experts International (ALEX), NRA Pistol/Rifle/Shotgun Instructor, USCCA Firearms Instructor, as well as a Force Science Certified Analyst.
GM Edmondson also freely lends his extensive martial arts knowledge and experience to multiple First Responder organizations teaching defensive tactics.
