[02]Who It's For

This is for you if...

Most martial arts were built for a mat, a ring, or a scoring system. Krav Maga was built for the moment a bad situation becomes physical, and it does not care about style points. You do not need to be an athlete, and you do not need any experience. You need to be willing to learn.

  • You want realistic self-defense, not sport-only training or memorized choreography
  • A violent encounter or close call changed how safe you feel, and you want to rebuild options and confidence
  • You want a demanding goal that gets you fit because you are learning something useful, not because you are staring at a calorie counter
  • You are responsible for children, a spouse, clients, employees, or other people and want to be better prepared

If a bad experience is why you are here

You do not have to prove anything in your first class. Tell us what you are comfortable with. We can start you in a beginner group, slow the pace when needed, or use private training if you want more control over the environment.

The goal is not to keep you afraid. The goal is to give you more options.

“Both my daughter and I are students. I love the self defense training. It gives a sense of security knowing you can protect your family if needed. Everyone at the school is amazing and you really feel a sense of community and family.”

[03]What You'll Learn

What you learn, in order.

01 / 07

Awareness And Avoidance

The best fight is the one that never happens. You learn to read a situation early, manage distance, and get out before it ever becomes physical. This is where real-world experience matters most, and it is where we start.

02 / 07

Combatives

Simple, direct strikes with the hands, elbows, knees, and legs, built on your natural reactions instead of fighting them. That is why they can be learned quickly and, more importantly, recalled under stress.

03 / 07

Close Range And Grabs

Wrist grabs, shirt grabs, bear hugs, chokes, and headlocks. How to break contact, create space, and leave, drilled with partners who are bigger than you.

04 / 07

Ground Survival

What to do if you end up on the ground: protect yourself, get back to your feet, and get out. Our Gracie Jiu-Jitsu roots run deep here.

05 / 07

Weapons

Defenses against edged, blunt, and firearm threats, introduced progressively and trained realistically. Most systems ignore weapons entirely. We do not, because that is what real violence can look like.

06 / 07

Multiple Threats

Movement, positioning, and decision-making when there is more than one problem in front of you.

07 / 07

Scenario Application

Skills put together under pressure in realistic scenarios, so what you learned in isolation still works when your heart rate is up and the situation is messy.

Expect to sweat. The fitness is a byproduct of learning to defend yourself, not the point of it.

[04]Women's Self-Defense

Looking for women's self-defense in Gilbert?

This is it, and it is not a softened version of the regular class. Women train in our standard Krav Maga classes, on the same mat, learning the same material. The training emphasizes leverage, timing, aggression management, and simple responses that do not assume equal size or strength.

Nothing in it depends on out-muscling anybody. You learn to strike where it actually counts, break a grip, get up off the ground, defend against a weapon, and get out, and you drill it with partners who are bigger than you, because that is the entire point.

We do not run a separate women-only class and we are not going to pretend we do. What we run is a room where women train alongside everybody else and walk out genuinely capable. Our Clinch Dirty Boxing class is one of our most popular among women, and you will see that the moment you walk in.

  • Women with no martial arts background at all
  • Anyone who wants to feel capable, not just reassured
  • Students who want real answers to grabs, chokes, and weapons
  • Women who need early morning, lunchtime, or evening class times
  • Moms who want to train on the same nights their kids do

[08]Questions

Krav Maga, answered.

01 What is Krav Maga?+

A self-defense system developed in Israel for military use and adapted for civilian self-defense. It combines simple, direct techniques drawn from boxing, wrestling, judo, Taekwondo, and Muay Thai, and it is known for how quickly it can be learned and applied.

02 How is it different from karate or MMA?+

MMA is built for a ring with rules and a referee. Krav Maga assumes none of that exists. We train against weapons and multiple attackers, and there are no illegal techniques when your safety is on the line.

03 Do I need to be in shape first?+

No. Come as you are. The conditioning comes from the training, and you will progress at your own pace from day one.

04 Is it good for women?+

Yes. The training emphasizes leverage, timing, aggression management, and simple responses that do not assume equal size or strength, so it is built to give a smaller person real options against a larger attacker.

05 How long until I can defend myself?+

You will learn useful, usable techniques from your very first class, and the system is designed to be learned quickly. Real capability under pressure builds with consistent training, which is what the two-week trial is for.

06 How often should I train?+

Two to three times a week is where most people see real change, in skill and in confidence.

07 Something happened and I am nervous about training. What do I do?+

Tell us privately before your first class. We can slow the pace, adjust partner selection, start you in a beginner group, or begin with private training. You are here to build options and confidence, not to be pressured.
