Here at Next Level, we offer a variety of programs to suit your needs. Depending on the program, we start children as young as 4 years of age.

Available programs are BJJ (starting at 5 yrs of age), Krav Maga Self-Defense (starting at 4 years of age) and Tae Kwon Do (starting at 4 years of age).

Whether you’re looking for Self-Defense standing or on the ground, we have a program for you.

As we stated above, our programs start children as young as 4 years of age.

Whether it’s BJJ, Krav Maga, or Tae Kwon Do (traditional martial arts) you’re looking for, we’ve got you covered.

Not sure which program to choose? Try our 14-Day trial and get a feel for each one.

Yes! Our programs, and more importantly; our team of AMAZING coaches will guide your child through the process from white belt to black belt.

Martial Arts is not about kicking and punching. It’s about making the right decisions at the right time and having the ability to defend those decisions if need be.

In short, yes. Martial Arts classes involve wearing the proper training attire.

Here at Next Level, our uniforms vary from program to program. Our Krav Kids wear our school shirt and gi (uniform) pants. Our TKD program wears a gi top and bottoms and our BJJ program requires a special gi.

Here at Next Level, our focus is on learning and with learning comes progression. Our belt system is as follows:

Our Krav Maga and Tae Kwon Do programs have levels from white belt to black belt and the kids, if eligible, will test every 3 months for their new rank.

Our BJJ program does have rank and is given based on Instructor recommendation.

Our average students train between 2 – 3 times per week. We have found that a minimum of 2x per week will develop mental and muscle memory.

That’s a great question. Most of our students get started with our 14-Days for $14 trial. This is a great way to try a few classes and see if we are a good fit for your needs. We know you’ll love it and that’s why we make it practically free. 🙂

krav maga

Krav Maga is a Self-Defense system developed in Israeli for the Defensive Force (Army) and has been taught in our (U.S.) branches of military and law enforcement.

Due to it’s practical application and ease of learning, this is an amazing system for all-around realistic self-defense.

It combines the best of Boxing, Wrestling, Jiu-Jitsu, Taekwondo, Muay Thai and Judo. What really sets Krav Maga apart from the rest is the weapons and multiple attacker defense.

Great question. Similar to MMA (mixed martial arts), Krav Maga combines several systems to create a complete program easy to learn and apply under pressure.

What make it different from other styles of martial arts is it’s focus on both stand-up and ground self- defense and it’s defense against weapons of all kinds.

We teach children starting at 4 years of age and currently, our oldest student is 84 years young.

Our program fits all levels of age, size, fitness and abilities.

Yes! This program is one of the best in the world at teaching the average person to adequately defend themselves if necessary.

That all depends on you. People learn and absorb content differently. I can tell you that our average student feels more confident within the first few months.

As with anything…the longer you do it the better you get. When it comes to self-defense, you want to build your muscle memory to react when you need it to.

As Sun Tzu said…”It’s better to be a Warrior in a Garden, than a Gardner in a War.”

brazilian Jiu-jitsu

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art, self-defense system, and a fitness program. It has proven to be the most practical and effective self-defense system in the world. It relies on leverage and technique, rather than strength and size. This allows you to defend yourself against much bigger, stronger attackers. As a result, BJJ is a great sport for everyone – including women and kids.

It is one of the fastest growing martial arts, due (in part) to its great success in the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) and Mixed Martial Arts in general. BJJ focuses on grappling and ground fighting with the goal of getting into a position to force an attacker or opponent to submit or give up. BJJ is also an intense, aerobic and anaerobic workout so your overall health and fitness will improve, including your flexibility, strength, cardiovascular fitness, ability to burn fat, and muscular endurance.

BJJ is for everyone – regardless of sex or age. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu was originally formulated for use by smaller, weaker people to allow them to defend themselves against larger, stronger attackers. In that way, Jiu-Jitsu is perfectly suited for women, kids, young and old. Anyone and everyone can participate!

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is one of the best workouts you can get, and it provides far better results than a typical aerobic workout. It is also much more fun and interactive than most exercise programs, so you end up working out more and harder. Many people practice it primarily for the health/exercise benefits, which increase muscle tone and reduce body fat while improving your balance, coordination, cardio vascular capacity, and muscular endurance.

You generally wear either a gi (sometimes called a kimono) or no-gi attire to practice/train. If you are in your trial classes, you can wear any comfortable clothing and we will loan you the appropriate attire. When you sign up, you will be required to purchase a gi from one of our preferred vendors (WarTribeGear, FujiSports, and Venum). A gi consists of a jacket, reinforced pants, and a belt. Both men and women should wear a rash guard and a spandex shorts under the gi.

We also practice and compete (for those who want to compete) without the gi. This is called “no-gi” Jiu-Jitsu or “submission grappling”. The “no-gi” attire consists of fight/board shorts and a rash guard.

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has an informal approach to belt promotions, in which one or more instructors subjectively agree that a given student is ready for the next rank. This applies to all athletes at NLJJ, including kids and adults.

We require that you wash your gi before rolling in it. Wash separately the first time, and then with like colors after that. Don’t iron the prints/logos/patches. We always recommend washing your gi in cold water, low/medium spin, and low/normal soil level, and then air drying. Never tumble dry your gi unless you want it to shrink, and even then do so VERY carefully.

When you do wash your gi, put in a couple of laundry cups full of white vinegar into the basin. White vinegar is naturally antiseptic and relatively cheap, a big bottle of it costs less than 5 dollars. Still use your other cleaning agents and set the washer to a heavy cycle so that the clothes get agitated. Removal of soil from clothing is a largely mechanical process so the more violent your washer is the better chance you have of getting rid of the nasties on your gi.

That’s a great question. Most of our students get started with our 14-Days for $14 trial. This is a great way to try a few classes and see if we are a good fit for your needs. We know you’ll love it and that’s why we make it practically free 🙂

Our FKB (Fitness Kickboxing) program is more of an MMA (mixed martial arts) workout. You will learn elements of Muay Thai Kickboxing as well as a little ground work.

This combination gets you in great shape, builds your confidence and best of all…makes you harder to kill. 🙂

Unlike the gym, where you basically flail to music; our team of AMAZING coaches will teach you the proper way deliver each technique with the most strength and power.

Yes!

The average class burns between 800 – 1000 calories. Now, as with anything, you get out of it what you put into it.

Come with a positive attitude and give your best. That’s all we ask and we will deliver amazing results.

Our program is geared for both men and women ages 14 and up.

Depending on the day, our average class size is approximately 10 – 15 students. If our classes get too full, we add another class.

We do offer small group private training at a diffent price point. The cost would depend on the size of the group and how often the classes were.

Regardless of your program, our monthly costs are between $159 – $259 per month depending on how many times per week you are attending.

Our average FKB student pays $159 per month.

all other questions

We have programs that range from month-month to 12 months in length.

Our steps are generally a 14-day trial, followed by a 12-week starter program.

We are confident that after a few months with us, you will be ready to make a long-term commitment to your training and progression. It takes time to achieve goals.

Yes!

Our program is regular price for the first 2 students, then $99 per month for each additional family member.

Family members must be living in same household to receive discount.

We also give discounts for active/former Military & Law Enforcement personnel.

Great question. Occasionally we will offer special discounts for pre-paid memberships.

For example:

If you pre-pay 12 months, you receive month 13 FREE.

Depending on your program, testing generally costs $25 month additionally. For example, If you test every 3 months, your new belt rank would be $75.

Our policy for missed time is to make it up by coming to additional classes. If you go on vacation for 1 month and train 2x per week, you would either have 8 classes to make-up or could attend our virtual training while away from the academy.
