[02]Who It's For

For the kid who needs a win.

This is the age when confidence gets decided. Kids figure out whether they're the type who backs down or the type who stands up, and that self-image can follow them for decades.

Gracie Kids hands them nothing. They earn every stripe, and they know it. Not participation trophies, not empty praise, but proof they collected themselves. That proof compounds, stripe by stripe, belt by belt, and it changes how they walk into every room for the rest of their life.

  • Kids ages 7 to 12, beginners genuinely welcome
  • Children being picked on, or who could be
  • Kids who struggle to focus at school
  • Children who quit the moment something gets hard
  • Anyone who needs a place to belong
[03]What They'll Learn

Real skills. Real proof.

01 / 05

Self-Defense That Actually Works

Authentic Gracie Humaita Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Because it relies on leverage instead of strength, a smaller child can genuinely defend against a bigger, stronger one. That isn't marketing, it's the whole design of the art.

02 / 05

Bully-Proof Confidence

Bullies pick targets who look unsure. Kids who have been grabbed and pinned in training by people bigger than them stop looking unsure, and if someone does try, they can control it without throwing a punch. The goal is a child who never has to fight, because they know they could.

03 / 05

Focus That Transfers

Class demands full attention. Parents and teachers routinely tell us they see the difference at school within weeks. It's not a coincidence, it's a trained skill.

04 / 05

Resilience Under Pressure

Your child will get stuck. They'll get frustrated. And then they'll figure it out. That loop, repeated, is how you build a kid who doesn't fold when life gets hard.

05 / 05

Respect And Discipline

Respect for coaches, for training partners, and for themselves. It starts on the mat and it doesn't stay there.

[04]On The Mat
[05]The First Class

The first class is the hardest part.

STEP 01

Just Show Up

Comfortable clothes, no gi, no gear, no experience. We'll take care of everything else.

STEP 02

They Get Partnered Up

A coach pairs your child with someone who'll look after them and walks them through the day's technique. Nobody gets thrown in the deep end.

STEP 03

They Ask To Come Back

That's usually how it goes. Your 14 days for $14 gives them two full weeks to find out.

[06]The 14-Day Trial

[07]Questions

Parent questions, answered.

01 Will my child actually be able to defend themselves?+

Yes, and that's the point of Jiu-Jitsu specifically. It's built on leverage and technique rather than size and strength, so a smaller child can control a bigger one. It's the most practical self-defense a kid can learn.

02 Is it safe? Will they get hurt?+

Kids classes are closely supervised and built around control, not aggression. Bumps happen in any sport, but safety on our mat is non-negotiable.

03 What if my child has never done martial arts?+

Perfect. Most of our Gracie Kids start with zero experience. They're taught at their own pace alongside kids who started exactly where they are.

04 Do they need a uniform?+

Not for the first classes. Comfortable clothes work. We'll tell you when it's time for a gi and help you get the right one.

05 How many times a week should they train?+

Two to three times a week is the sweet spot for real progress at this age. We'll help you find a schedule that works for your family.

06 Are there belts?+

Yes. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu uses a belt and stripe system, and promotions here are earned on the mat, never handed out on a schedule.
